Solidarity with ING employees

On 16 September, ING Bank Luxembourg confirmed its decision to implement a redundancy plan and lay off 124 employees.

The ALEBA staff representatives at Quintet express their deep solidarity with the employees and with the ING staff delegation.

This announcement reminds many ALEBA delegates of the dark days of our company in 2010 and 2012, when nearly 250 people lost their jobs, even though favourable packages had been negotiated. We know how difficult and unfair a redundancy plan is for the company's staff and its delegation, leaving a deep and lasting mark.

Everything must therefore be done to ensure that everyone at ING who wishes to keep their job can do so, and of course solidarity and union strength must be there, in the interests of the company's employees.

No to the relentless pursuit of profit led by inhumane shareholders! Courage to all ING employees!
