2019-2024 Accomplishments

OUR JOB: PROTECTING YOURS.

Our Accomplishments: positive and constructive work in everyone's interest

Reviewing the last five years, the two most important projects supported and defended by your ALEBA delegates concern employment.

– The first was employment protection, obtained for 2021 and 2022, in the context of the establishment of the Eurobank. With the support of external lawyers, and after a long legal battle, Quintet agreed that we were right and had to concede this important protection for all the bank's staff for two years.

– The second was the Company Agreement, signed at the beginning of 2023 and covering 2023 and 2024. This defends employment within the bank through a series of measures: a list of positions at risk to be provided as soon as possible, an early retirement scheme, strong support for internal mobility and enhanced training. Everything is being done to enable everyone to keep their job and to develop new skills if they move. And, if it's not possible to find a solution, favourable departure conditions are also provided for.

Other initiatives, and other projects, for everyone's benefit, were also launched, at the instigation of and thanks to the work of your ALEBA delegates, such as:

– a flexible teleworking policy, enabling the majority of staff to work from home for up to two days a week

– the provision of a second screen for home use

– safety days, in addition to the days dedicated to flu vaccinations and eye tests

– improved financial conditions for staff on call

– new rules on flexitime, with extended working hours from 6am to 8pm (with no fixed hours), during which, for example, all medical visits are now taken into account

– the introduction of social leave: 5 days/year for everyone

– the renovation of the canteen and the development of a new catering offer

– the provision of several new advantageous corporate packages

– the on-screen display, at the staff entrance, of departure times for public transport near the bank

Finally, the ALEBA delegates were careful to ensure that the following were maintained:

– financial support for green mobility for those using paid public transport (Velo'h, or 1st class in the Grand Duchy)

– an advantageous interest rebate for mortgages

– significant budgets for the Quintet Loisirs staff clubs

– the « Champagne » solidarity operation, in aid of the Juddu association, which finances schooling for children in Senegal

As you can see, a lot of work has been done, even if the 2019-2024 track record has inevitably been impacted by the Covid crisis, which put the world on hold or made it turn more slowly. As a result, we haven't been able to achieve everything we wanted to, everything we committed to in 2019: but that's just a temporary setback, and the initial projects are still there, together with new ones, as reflected in our 2024-2029 Programme.
